Another example of D187 schools empowering students and graduates to write their own success stories! The YouthBuild Lake County Pre-Apprenticeship program provides high school graduates with the opportunity to acquire skills and certifications, thereby enhancing their competitiveness for union positions and careers in the building trades. NCCHS has significantly promoted this program for graduates pursuing this career path. Four 2025 NCCHS graduates were among the 18 graduates of the 2025 cohort. The four NCCHS graduates were Jerell Howliet, Raul Chacon, De'Shawn Roach, and Aritreyus Willimas. Raul Chacon was also selected by his peers to give the Trainee Reflection speech. Congratulations!
