What's Happening This July in North Chicago Schools!

Get ready for an exciting July in North Chicago School District 187! We've got a lot going on, from meaningful community discussions to fun activities for our students.

Important Community Meeting!

  • North Chicago Community Meeting (July 14, 5:00-7:00 PM at the NCCHS Library): This meeting is for parents and community members. We'll be discussing the old Novak King and South Schools – what's happening with their demolition, how we're cleaning up, and ensuring everyone stays safe. We also want to hear YOUR ideas for what comes next for the Novak King land! You can share your thoughts at the meeting or even online.

Fun for Students!

  • Chicago Voyagers Celebrations: We're celebrating our Chicago Voyagers!

    • July 2 (4:30-6:00 PM) at NCCHS Library: For our 9th and 8th grade boys.

    • July 3 (4:30-6:00 PM) at NCCHS Library: For our 7th-grade girls.

    • July 23 (4:30-6:00 PM) at NCCHS Library: For our 8th-grade girls.

  • Cheerleading Fun at NCCHS Small Gym (E115):

    • Middle School Cheer Practice: Join us on July 5, July 12, July 19, and July 26 (all from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM).

    • High School Cheer Camp: Get ready for cheer camp from July 17 (starting at 10:00 AM) to July 19 (ending at 4:00 PM)!

Join Us for Dinner!

  • Dinner on D187 (July 17, 5-7 PM at Hamlet Park): Join us for dinner and connect with our school community!

Other Important Meetings

  • School Board Meetings: Our IA-FOP Joint Board Meetings will be held online via Zoom on July 1 and July 22 (both from 6:00-8:00 PM).

  • CCLT Summer Planning (July 28, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at NCCHS - Peace Room): This is where our staff plans for further improvements to our schools.
