Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton Visits District 187 and Forrestal Elementary in North Chicago

North Chicago, Ill. — Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton visited Forrestal Elementary School in North Chicago on Tuesday, meeting with District 187 staff and students to learn more about the school's programs and initiatives.
Lt. Gov. Stratton was greeted and accompanied by District 187 Superintendent of the Year John Price, Chief Academic Officer Ana Fuhrer, and Forrestal Principal Cara Kranz.
During her visit, Lt. Gov. Stratton toured the Forrestal Elementary School's classrooms and gymnasium and met with staff to learn more about the district's progress and challenges. The Lt. Governor discussed plans for rebuilding Forrestal School with the D187 team. That project is set to break ground in the Spring of 2024.
The students at Forrestal Elementary were excited to welcome Lt. Gov. Stratton to their school and delighted to pose for pictures. Lt. Gov. Stratton said she was impressed with the District 187 commitment to providing high-quality education.
District 187 appreciates Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton for taking the time to tour Forrestal Elementary and for noticing the hard work and dedication of District 187 leadership, teachers, staff, and students.
