The D187 Special Education Department is committed to providing a high-quality education for all students, and we are proud of the work we do to help students succeed. We provide a range of services and work closely with parents, guardians, and families to ensure that their children receive the best possible education.

Our goal is to provide stability and continuity for our students and to create inclusive opportunities that allow them to reach their full potential. We also know and follow all current federal and state regulations and provide resources to help families navigate the special education system.

We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to succeed, and we are committed to providing them with the tools they need to reach their goals. Here are some ways we support our students and teachers to ensure success:

• We offer a variety of specialized programs and services, such as early intervention, transition planning, and behavior support.

• We work closely with classroom teachers to ensure that all students are included in the general education curriculum.

• We provide training and support to parents and families to help them advocate for their children.

• We collaborate with other agencies to ensure that students have access to the resources they need.
