Health Services

The Health Services at North Chicago Schools are trained staff that provides quality care to the children in the North Chicago Schools District. The District employs Paramedics (EMT-P), Health assistants, and Registered Nurses under the supervision of the District Nurse.

The Health office personnel assist with first aid, administer medication to students, and notify the District Nurse, parents, and/or school principal in case of health problems or injuries at school. They also assist with vision and hearing screening and other special health needs.

Each North Chicago School has a health office staffed with individuals certified in CPR/AED and First Aid.

Illinois law requires that school districts have on file medical verification of certain immunizations for students entering school.  Immunization dates and records must be submitted on the Child Health Form, which must be signed, stamped, and dated by the health care provider.
